📁 Does SkillGrader Store Applicant or Assessment Data?

Yes. SkillGrader stores the following applicant data:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Email Address (optional)

This data is collected to support assessment tracking, reporting, and participant identification within your organization’s training programs.

🌐 Where Is the Data Stored?

All data is stored on OVH, a private cloud provider.

  • Infrastructure Type: Private cloud

  • Server Location: Physical data center in Canada

OVH offers robust hosting infrastructure with strong security and compliance standards, ensuring that your data remains protected and regionally housed.

🌍 Redundancy & Data Availability

SkillGrader uses multiple layers of redundancy to ensure your data remains available even in the event of major disruptions:

🔁 Hot Backup Server in Europe

  • A hot backup server is maintained with OVH in Europe

  • Automatically takes over if the Canadian production server becomes unavailable due to a major incident (e.g., natural disaster)

💾 Database Backups in Azure

  • Database is backed up every 10 minutes

  • Backups are stored in Microsoft Azure

  • Ensures rapid recovery and availability of data in case of production server failure

These redundancy measures are designed to minimize downtime and maintain continuous access to your data.

We implement a layered approach to security to safeguard the data stored in SkillGrader:

  • All SkillGrader employees undergo annual PII (Personally Identifiable Information) training

📋 SOC 2 Compliance (In Progress)

  • SkillGrader has initiated the process to obtain SOC 2 certification

  • This industry-standard compliance framework validates our commitment to data security, availability, and confidentiality
